“Boi” is the bengali word for books. “Thek” is a colloquial bengali symbolization of spending time casually (a concept similar to hygge or ikigai, also called “adda” in bengali). However, the phrase “boi-thek”, if read together with a slight change, reads as “boithok”, a bengali word symbolizing conference. I aim to bring a light hearted snapshot of my sojourn through books, my walks through College Street (one of the longest bookmarket in the world) and other book stores, and some digital and hardcopies that I am currently reading.
